Can you help me overclock my quad? [RESOLVED]

My Spec - Custom Built by Me :D

700W OCZ GameXStream
Abit IP35 Pro XE
Q6600 GO Stepping - ThermalRight Ultra 120 (idles around 31c stock clock settings)
4x1Gb DDR2 Corsair XMS2 @ 800Mhz
8800GT 1GB

Ive just flashed the bios to the latest as it reported innacurate cpu temps. Anyway ive never overclocked on a board as complex as this.

Could someone suggest some settings to try, also if i constantly enter bios, pc crashes due to overclock can i damage the motherboard?

Thanks!

CPU Core: im guessing 1.32v-1.4v??
DDR2 Voltage: 2.1?
CPU VTT: ?
ICH 1.50v Voltage: ?
MCH 1.25v Voltage: ?
CPU GTLREF: ?
PCIEClk: 100

ok, i managed to get 3.4ghz but i cant get 3.6ghz to POST, i have to clear cmos everytime.

Heres what i used to get 3.4ghz - hopefully nothing will fry!

Vcore 1.385v
DDR2 2.1v
MCH 1.52v
ICHIO 1.65v
CPU VTT 1.20v
DDR2 Ref 0%
ICH 1.15v
5,5,5,18,2T Memory Timings - Running something like 906mhz Dual Channel
Limit CPUID Maxval - Disabled
CIE Function - DIsabled
Execute Disable Bit - Disabled
Virtualization Technology - Disabled
EIST Function - DIsabled

Could someone help me achieve 3.6ghz, what should i be increasing, i know i could bump vcore up, with the overclock above im currently idling around 33c on each core. And yes it is currently at 3.4ghz according to CoreTemp and CPU-Z

If i can achieve 3.6ghz and its stable, and still running pretty good temp wise, is it possible to push for say 3.7ghz or even 3.8ghz? Im using a Ultra 120 with a 120mm thermaltake fan, arctic cooling mx-2 paste applied - seems to be cooling rather nice, and if any luck when it breaks in could drop a few more degrees :D

Cheers

For 3.4GHz I had to set my vCore to 1.5050v in BIOS which gave me 1.42v under full load (Prime 95) With my current cooling maxing around 70 degrees C I didn't want to push it any further until my water cooling setup is fitted. Hopefully it'll all be here soon and i'll be able to push a little higher :)

i was thinking of getting a set of 2x2gb ram, which would you reccomend and could i overclock to 1066mhz?

i was looking at the offer on here for the OCZ, would this be better

CHeers bud

which ram would be best for muy abit ip35 pro xe board?

OCZ 2x2gb
PNY 2x2Gb
Geil Value 2x2gb
Kingston 2x2gb

Thanks for the help!
