Going to be all over the papers tomorrow:

PRINCE Harry made shock racist remarks on a video, the News of the World can reveal.

The soldier prince pours shame on the Royal Family as he calls an Asian squaddie “our little **** friend” and tells another officer cadet jokingly wearing a camouflage veil off duty: “**** me, you look like a raghead”—an offensive term for an Arab.

As a british pakistani, I personally don't think it was offensive. His friend found it as an acceptable nickname. I think it's alright if said to your friends who are ok with it (and don't find it offensive), but not to people you don't know .

He is the army, terms and phrases like that are in common use with the vast majority of those who sign up for the meat grinder that is the modern army.

I think it's pretty disgusting tbh. Just because his friend said he didn't mind being called that name, it doesn't mean that it is OK. There's tremendous pressure to fit in in the armed forces.

First the nazi fancy dress and now this, just how dumb is Prince Harry?

Whilst I don't think the term is particularly racist, in fact my Dad who served in Iraq and is liberal uses the term, the Prince is a public figure and the potential future King of our country so really it does not reflect well on him. He is an idiot though.

raghead etc is expected in the army dehumanisation of the enemy has been a nessacery part of military life since WW2 (and eariler), like the Viet Cong, no one other than the yanks ever called them that. is it racist to say yank?

He's just confused over the question "whos your daddy". :p

Yeah because wearing a nazi armband dressed as a nazi at a fancy dress party is quite indicative of being a card carrying nazi

Dirty filthy ginger filthy naziiiii barsteward !

No but it is inappropriate for a possible future king of the country which helped defeat the nazi's.

Normal news papers making things sound worse than they actually are, he's just having a laugh with his mates I dont think anyone with a common sense will make a mockery out of this but then again just look at the Russell brand incident.

It will be taken totally out of proportion but I've lost the will to care anymore.
