Hi all,

I am about to buy my new bits based around the core i7 920 in the next couple of weeks. Im concerned that the larger cpu coolers may not fit in the cases I have my eye on, either the Antec 300 or the Coolermaster Centurion 590.. Im leaning towards the Coolermaster simply because of the quick release fittings which the Antec doesn't have..

Anyway, does anyone have any idea if this monstrous cpu cooler (Noctua NH-U12P) will fit in either of the cases mentioned above?

That will fit fine with a bit of extra headroom too. Got one in mine.

Check graphics card length though. My 2900XT only fits with 1-2cm of clearance.

Thanks Darg, I currently have a HD4850 which isnt huge but may replace that later in the year so will make sure whatever I get will fit. Wish they wouldnt make gpu's so ginormous! :D

Theres loads of room for GFX cards, both my GTX's fit perfectly, but the power plugs on my cards are facing the side of the case.

Fits with no issues as this is what I have in mine currently on a Q6600

I'm after another Noctua for my AMD VMware box

According to your sig you're running an E8400 @ 3.6, what are your idle+load temps, also what akasa hsf is that?

To op: sorry for perhaps hijacking the, just interested in the 300 as well ;)

So I'm sure you'll be able to fit most HSFs in there :) Sorry for the obstructing 8-pin MOBO connector but it's like on the other side of the case and it wasn't long enough to route back behind the motherboard :(
