It's not a swastika is it? That has straighter edges?

I'm no expert, but i would say that is definately a swastika! The only reason it doesn't have straighter edges is that it is styalised slightly to fit into the round "button" at the base of the blade.

Even though it's curved, it certainly depicts a counter-clockwise rotating wheel, same as a swastika...

It's a shame the Nazi's stigmatized the swastika, as it's a beautiful symbol and within it's true meaning before the Nazi's got hold of it, meant a totally different meaning than what it stands for today.

That's the Reichsadler, or "eagle of the empire" in translation.

It was the German coat of arms used during the Nazi's reign in Germany.

It appears the bottom is broke off though, as a swastika is normally underneath.

Spot on. On closer inspection it's clearly snapped off.

So what's the story on the Nazi swords?

Grandad gave them too me, well, grandma wanted them out of the house:p

Don't have info on them as my grandad is unwell. They're seriously cool though, they're probably not very legal though are they?

Nice little collection. You should get the story of your Grandad when he's well enough to talk about it! I'm sure there's a story there somewhere :)
