4870x2 AND 4870 1gb in Crossfire ?

Cheers, anyone else tried this or know if its even worth doing? the 4870 1gb is a good deal at the moment :P
 
Nope, would be a waste of a card anyway if it could as there are no decent games out that need it or make a difference in, unless you want to watch tech demoes all day
 
Are there any benchmarks out there showing how well trifire works? I am tempted to pick up one of those cheap 1GB 4870's to add to my system as even the mighty X2 can struggle at 2560x1600.
