Hi all, after having a look the Asus website it would appear that there are two different versions of the P6T Deluxe, but from reading the info I can't see any differences, is there something I have missed and if so, which version does OCUK stock??

one of them has that oc palm which enables you to alter the bios from a screen,a bit like a mobile phone in your hand wired up to the motherboard....personally i would always alter my bios options in the bios...dont bother with the oc palm its a waste of money...even the rampage 2 is a waste of money...just stick with the standard p6t deluxe:cool:

The version 1 has got sas ports/onboard sas the v2 has had them removed (no sas) asus says thats the only difference between the two.

I wasn't talking about the palm version thevet, if you follow the link to the Asus site there are 2 different versions of the regular deluxe board. I have looked more into it and from what I can see Hydro is right; the only difference appears to be the SAS controller over regular SATA.

That still doesn't help as to which version OCUK actually sell though...

Be good to hear, would resolve my Sata port issue

Edit: actually it looks like they've done away with the 2 SAS ports and controller, but not replaced them with anything :(

Maybe it's to bring costs down. I have the original version and to be honest I'd rather SAS be there if I need it someday than need it and not have it! Bit random tho.

Yeah it's probably so they can reduce price and be more competitive, when I bought my V1 it was about £20 dearer than the equivalent brands which all lacked the SAS feature.
