COH Vista x64 2.101 crash

Hi,

I fancied playing some COH again and patched to 2.101 but as soon as I try and start COH it crashes with "RelicCOH has stopped working"

Anybody have this working?

Actually I see patches go up to 2.400, I will carry on patching

awesome game, but a TERRIBLE patching system

they should just release a large 'any version > 2.400' exe

Just asking! have you upgraded the latest gpu drivers etc

I only put it back on my pc last week (Vista 64) and it works fine. I used to have this problem with certain patches. There are multiple versions of the patches and i found that it's better to go with the biggest patches instead of the incremental ones. ie, 1.00-1.40 > 1.40-2.101 > 2.101-2.201 > 2.201-2.300 > 2.300-2.301 > 2.301-2.400. If you do the smaller patches i found there was a bigger chance of it going wrong.

best i can suggest mate, is uninstall, reboot

disable all AV / antispyware

install again, patch up again.

how recent is the windows install?

if you've got a spare drive, try on a fresh install, with all latest drivers

Had to disable my secondary gfx adapter, now works.

Noticed that too. It only comes with patch 2.400. This patch has caused me no end of problems. It deleted my save games and then crashes to desktop after trying to load the game. Uninstalled the whole thing and then patched to 2.301 and all is well.
