Xbox 360 System update now available (no new features)

A few minutes ago, the team released a system update for the Xbox 360 over Xbox LIVE. Sometime over the next few hours when you sign in to Xbox LIVE you’ll receive a prompt to accept this mandatory update. This update addresses interruption issues that some Xbox LIVE users may have experienced when playing a limited number of Xbox 360 games.

There are no other changes or enhancements in this update…in other words no new features.

This update will be rolled out to all Xbox LIVE members around the world over the space of a few hours, so you may not get prompted for the update immediately.

The only difference i have noticed is within Fifa 09 Ultimate team mode, all the team management etc seems to run a lot smoother.

Just when something updates you expect a log or something to tell you what they have improved etc.

But the 360 and it's games have micro updates quite often that never tell you what has changed, just some relatively insignificant background issue has been resolved. Quite often when I play a game the first thing that happens is it downloads an update, hardly ever have I found out what they are for though.

It's nothing new.

Wonder if we'll get a spring update this year? They skipped it last year so they could bring us NXE in Q4 so hopefully we'll get a spring update this year.

Not that I can actually think of much that they need to fix/add!

It's nothing new.

I think a lot of that is to do with NXE. every game i've run for the first time since having NXE installed has installed an update. Not sure what the update is but im fairly sure its NXE related
