Just to say - i got a new job!

Aye, im in France now, working for, of all people, Blizzard!

Typing this in a hotel in Velizy right now, in warm sun shine, drinking very good coffee and feeling quiet happy with life at the mo, then again, the job doesnt start until Tuesday..

Wish me luck! i think im going to need it to learn French lol, but its all fun so far!

No one else on here works near Velizy do ya?

Im starting on the bottom rung of Games Master. I got bored of 3rd line support lol, and to be honest, always wanted to see what this is like. i rekon 8-12 months to move up and they already know i want to get into the world designing part of the team. They are also going to give me a test to see if i can do the Network support side of the job, if so, get on the short list for that department

So, 1st line email support for lots of kiddies, but got to start somewhere, unlike contracting, here i get pension, SICK PAY!!!, training and promotion! wow...

i may have made the biggest mistake every leaving my other job, but it got so easy i didnt like it any more... but at least i will know soon enough lol.

They made Warcraft II which is probably my favourite PC game of them all.

Congratz man, I knew a couple of people who went over the Velizy to be GMs. Both have since left but afaik it was nothing to do with the job. Take care in Paris tho dude, the suburbs can get a bit lively at times.

A few years ago, the clan leader of the clan I was part of for CSS moved to France to work for Blizzard in the WoW department. I think it was as a Games Master or something.
