Port Forwarding for Xbox 360

Hi

Currently i have an Xbox 360 connecting to an Orange Livebox using the official Microsoft bridge. I have so many problems connecting to peoples parties and joining games. Is this something to do with my NAT and will Port Forwading help to solve my problem?

If so have you any good guides on how to do this

Ok, got a list of ports that i need to open. Now im at the port forwarding bit of my router. Will they be External port (port or port-port) or Internal port (port or port-port)

I gave up messing around with ports so just assigned it an IP and stuck that IP in my routers DMZ.

Have you manually set the IP address on your Xbox or is it on auto?
