With two ASUS boards, I've had problems where the machine's wouldn't enter S3 sleep mode correctly, or would fail to resume from it..

This is the solution that has worked for both boards (one was an old asus barebones board, the second is my new P5QL Pro)

Took this from the manual of my P5QL, check your ASUS manual for the exact placement of the jumpers

just bumping this as I needed to do it on another Asus board today.

it wouldn't go into sleep if there was a mouse plugged into the front panel usb ports.

after doing this fix, it does.

I had the same problem bledd with a few value ASUS uATX boards where they wouldn't Resume from S3 sleep using a PS/2 keyboard. Found out about the jumpers and changing the PS/2 one fixed the problem!

This problem doesn't happen on Premium ASUS boards? they just work as expect with no jumper changing so I am perplex why the Value series ship with the jumpers in the wrong position?
