Am toying with the idea of getting a laptop, would like it to be able to play the majority of modern games (i know nothing in this price range will play Crysis etc), i see OC dont have a massive range of laptops, so recommendations dont have to be form the OC store, ive heard good things about the ACER 6930G, any better about in this price range?, thanks in advance!

Apparently that Acer is a very good laptop for the money. I you do go for it though make sure you buy it from the supermarket chain that begins with a T. They sell it for the same £499 tag but with the better graphics card than the one on sale in the high street catalogue store that begins with the letters Ar. :)

Cheers guys, the 6930G at 'T' are out of stock atm though :(., or would they have it in store? Does the model with the better gfx card and more RAM have a model number assigned to it?

They should have more stock in soon. I'm not sure about model numbers I'm afraid, but I do know that the model they sell at "Ar" has a lower spec graphics card than the one at "A".

If you do have an "A" that sells electronics nearby you then I would recommend you go and have a look in store. If they have none in stock then I'd say it's worth waiting around for because those lappy's are quite a good bargain for the specification. :)

Failing that you could go for the other laptop that's been recommended in this thread, I'm not sure on the differences between that radeon mobility and the geforce, maybe somebody with experience of both could post here?
