FAO those folding who have had 2D clock issues with 19x.xx series drivers

I'm trying these drivers now (195.39betas are on the US site only atm, released 30th oct)

i'll post an update when i've let them run for a bit longer, although i've had no issues yet!:)

Also they are using CUDA 3.0, so we will see if there is any benifit to ppd.

*****************************************************

EDIT: After 10mins running ppd is up by between 6-10% over the 186.xx drivers. and no clock issues yet.

Update:

All seems well, seems to be on average about 6% faster. No 2d clocks :D
My gtx295 is now outputing 19k ppd by itself (based on 353 units)

not cad friendly - but showing a .5sec improvement on 353pts - 8714/8970
MAJOR slow down on ppd with cad two - well below 5k ppd

not for me 9-5 - will see how they do over the weekend.

Update number 2:

Well 7hrs later and i'm still running full pelt. sorry to here they're not good at multi tasking. But at least they've sorted one of the problems:D

I installed these last night, PPD is now over 17K :D It may just be some good WUs but normally doesn't go that high. How are you guys measuring the performance increases, with FahMon benchmarks or PPD / other method?

Well on 353 i used to get

186.24 driver
Project : 5771
Min. Time / Frame : 37s - 8243.03 ppd
Avg. Time / Frame : 37s - 8243.03 ppd

now its up to

195.39 driver
Project : 5771
Min. Time / Frame : 35s - 8714.06 ppd
Avg. Time / Frame : 35s - 8714.06 ppd

not bad i think :D

Not yet, too much work on... any reason you ask?

I'll halt the folding and run Vantage now and see what happens.

EDIT: vantage score is higher (mostly due to the CUDA enhancements since 185/6 I suspect) P24.5K rather than P23K.
But it isn't a game of course so may not be a good representation.

Ah poop, just had my screen flicker and now one core is locked at 400Mhz after EUE ing the WU :(

It seems the problem MAY still be there (if a lot more infrequent), or this could be a random glitch.

well ive fgave em a try for folding and found they dropped my PPD by 2/3 rds on a standard 353wu instead of 6200ppd i was getting around 2000 ppd per unit
So im back to 190.62 drivers i will wait till a more mature version of the drivers appear before retrying them.
