Hi :)

Is there any way to keep my MacBook awake with the screen lid closed? I've looked everywhere and can't find an option for it, the power settings seem very dumbed down compared to Windows :(

Cheers,

Craig

As far as I know, well, what I do with mine is: close the lid, it goes into sleep and then wake it up with mouse/keyboard. I think you can even wake it using the Apple Remote. ;)

Or try out a program like InsomniaX which gives you a few more options. :)

Plugging in an external display will "wake" the MacBook when the lid is closed.

Thanks for the suggestions guys - I've tried both Caffeine and InsomniaX and both do the job but I've stuck with Caffeine as it's a bit easier to use/less options :)

only works when youve got a monitor plugged in though

i need mine to stay on while shut without having another screen. i use caffeine
