Am getting alittle tired of the "driver stopped responding" and the flash of green dots across my screen now and then...

...i know a lot of other people are experiencing the same issue, i would have thought AMD/ATi would have updated drivers by now? is there any word on this... cant find anything off a google hunt.

I had the same problem on my HD4870 and 8800gt, turned out to be incompatible memory and looking at your signature it seems you may have the same problem. Asus and OCZ memory doesn't usually go together very well after a period of time; i was using an Asus P5E and 4Gb of OCZ gold series ram which i swapped for 4Gb of corsair and all was fine and stable after that until i upgraded to i5.

Well i installed the 9.11 (i think) Beta and it seems to have helped the issue. Not had any crashes or driver stops since and i have been benching my cards.

Current driver works fine for me mostly (Win7) but when I try to RDC from Vista to the Win7 machine the Win7 logon is displayed with Win7 background but then the RDC client just freezes. When I log into the Win7 machine there is a Catalyst related error displayed :(

Well i am just bumping this as my system was working superbly for a few days now it still does the green bits/driver stopped working thingy again.. :(

Usual times around the 18th of the month, and on Wednesdays, so be about 10 days time for the official 9.11's that'll have support for the 57's.

Mine seems a bit better with the 9.11 beta but it still has driver errors. It's also crashes now though when powerdvd tries to lay blurays. Roll on the 9.11's if they don't fix it then it going back.

I haven't tried any blurays, but I've not had any crashes or BSODS either. I've been using the 9.11 beta4 driver on Windows 7 since I get the card.

In games it seems fine.. just had over an hour on wolfenstien and its all good.. weird..

Mine is fine in games as well just random driver stopped working or lockups on windows desktop. I'll probably move it to my HTPC and see if that makes a difference. Running Windows 7 64 bit by the way.

Interesting, moved my pci-e connector for one port of me PSU to the other and the card has been stable for about 4 hours no driver crashes. Was running an 8800GTS 512mb from this connector with no problems previously. Still won't play blu's though with the beta driver.

What would be the deal with sending the card back though (if they dont fix it)... its not doing its job? its broke? ...O_o;;

Can you try the card in another machine, They will ask you to try that. I also remember having the same issue as you in a build with an asus p5k board, ocz platinum ram and a 3870. Tried the card in my system and it worked fine. Changed memory to some crucial ballistix and all was well!

BoB3rt- I just got 2x 5770 yesterday, now one of them does the green dot thing.
I've swapped them in/out but the same one always green dots then driver restart etc
I've a Radeon HD 5770(the one on offer) what's yours?

Have you tried both PCI-E connectors in the dodgy card? Mine has stopped that since moving from one PCI-E connect to the other on my PSU. It still has problems coming out of the screen saver though.
