Great to finally see some larger 120Hz panels, and the price isn't so horrific either. Only thing I'm wondering is, why that awful stand and why only a two year warranty? I thought 3 years was the norm when it came to monitors.

Acer do have some strange ideas. Orange is a 'Gamer' colour apparantly. Acer have never bothered with 3 years as part of offering a cheaper solution.

Agreed, if the stand was all black too it would increase the appeal.

Is there a rough ETA?

Possible chance we could see some before Christmas.

Can hdmi handle 120fps at 1920x1080p:confused: . Also can't see many nvidia gfx combination that would give a smooth 120fps and that res... well cant speak about fermi

Really? I thought they suffered from bad backlight bleeding as well as looking hideous and being overpriced. Perhaps it's just me...

you're right about the bad backlight bleed, you're completely wrong about the hideousness and you're sort of right about it being overpriced (considering its flaws). you also forgot to mention fairly bad viewing angles. I've had it for quite some time now and with all its faults i still enjoy it.

Lets hope Acer have fixed the backlight bleed problems at least with this new 120hz screen. Need to see some reviews of it first before i jump in this time

looks to be a great monitor.... hopefully more manufacturers will follow.
a lot of sites say Feb '10 arrival though.
