Very good winter sports game. Only 14 events but plenty to do & you can play any events at any time. You only need to unlock the challenge events in order. Game also allows you to practice forever & as the loading times are never more than a few seconds its very easy to get into. Takes up around 3.3GB HD space & any PC from the last 4 years will easily run it max everything @ 60FPS. Obviously it plays best with a 360 gamepad!! Also has a up to 4 player MP mode as well as local 4 player mode & can be played either over a LAN or GFWL if you want to earn Achievements & go onto the Leaderboards.

For the price its a solid offering & definately the best winter olympic game ever made. Graphics are pretty good in places for this type of game. It only cost me £19.85 delivered which is a bargain for the gameplay on offer I would not pay anymore for it (RRP is £29.99) & think that just under £20 is a pretty fair price.

I've always found with these games (Olympic) that they fall very short of what types of sports are included. I've always been dissapointed with them. But that's me.
Maybe I'll give it a go - the Winter Olympics are always the best :D

No CPU or GPU from the last 4 years would have trouble running it at all on max everything. As the game is only 14 events & high polygon count they can make it look better than usual for sports games because the locations & game setting are not the usual open space FPS level so they can increase the detail without any FPS issues.

You can also buy it digitally from MS now for only £24.99 (you may strugle to find the retail version much cheaper now as usually they do the preoders cheap then when they sell out its back to normal RRP until they decide to reduce the price again).

It's pretty bog standard just using a gamepad with this genre of game though.

When will the pc have a motion sensor controller like the project natal ?

Anybody manage to get this to work with a non xbox 360 gamepad?

I'm struggling here. I'm using an xbox360 emulator and it's working to control the menus but the activities just won't work.

All the buttons work fine in the setup as well :(
 
The memories are flooding back about killing Quickshot after Quickshot in the late 80s, all replaced by their lifetime guarantee! :D

Might be tempted by this one, its one of those genres that have almost gone the way of the dodo since my childhood (just like shoot 'em ups, loved the special edition Xenon 2000 mini game re-make of the Amiga classic).
 
Quick heads up on this one... I ordered last night through my first ever purchase from zavvi for 16 squids...

I then entered "VANCOUVER2010" (possibly a space inbetween city and year) for a further 10% discount ;)
