Hey guys,
I had been looking for a 24" monitor for a while now that satisfied my criteria for gaming on my xbox 360, and for general PC use. Until I finally decided on this one, the Iiyama ProLite B2409HDS 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor for £185.

The box is pretty sturdy, as boxes go. I already opened the box, then decided to do this post so I closed it back up! Just in case you saw the creases on the flippy things.
The monitor is cased in polystyrene and comes with a Analogue cable, DVI-D cable, and a green audio cable so you can plug stuff into the monitor as it has a Audio in, along with a lovely manual.
The monitor only has this soft plastic casing to protect it which seems enough. My monitor had no bumps or bruises, but it didn't have that sticky film you peel off some monitors
Okay, so attaching the base was pretty easy. There were two screws you twist in manually and everything seems pretty durable and nothing bent in the process.
Taa-Daa!
From the back, I think that's my thumb print on the back btw
Left Side Connections: DVI-D, HDMI, Analogue, Audio In and Audio Out.
Right Side Connection: Power and Kensington Lock
From the top! It's a LCD so don't expect super thin, but it's thin enough for me. You can see on the left and right side, the small circles in the grills which are the 2 x 2 Watt Speakers
From the side, the base is pretty heavy and sturdy which it has to be for the height the Iiyama can go. In this picture the Iiyama is at it's lowest height
The little speaker
This is zee little pin you have to pull out in order to adjust the height of the monitor. It's on the back in the monitor stand.
The Iiyama at full height
Up and working! The other monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster T220 22" 2ms 16:10 Monitor
Close up. The colour's look better than my Samsung T220, but I'm not much of an enthusiast with colours so I couldn't tell you if they were top notch or not but they do look nice enough!
I've been playing Assassins Creed for about an hour and it's great. The speakers are pretty decent, they do the job with my xbox, and the HD is awesome.
Thats a clip of me playing Assassins Creed, just to check ghosting and perhaps just some more information for you to make a decision about the monitor.
The screen can also rotate 90 degrees, but I haven't done that yet so no pictures!
Having the two little speakers and audio output means I can attach some better speakers if I want. With the HDMI cable bringing video and sound I will just use the monitor speakers for the time being.
No dead pixels, and just what I wanted.
Hope this little review helps, I know it would have helped me.

One was perfect, the other had blotches on the screen. And NO-ONE (Iiyama, or Misco) could guarantee three identical monitors. OC did try at least which was appreciated. Else I'd have bought three, a 5870, and everything else to boot. The machine was even going to go into a water cooled 19" rack on wheels. My dream was a massive Eyefinity panoramic setup. A Gucci handbag was bought instead!! It's my pride and joy!!
