Asus P6T Deluxe v2 not running x16x16

I've noticed my p6t deluxe v2 is not running x16x16 on the pci-e lanes even though i have set the 2nd and third lanes to x16x1 in the bios, gpuz and CCC all show the second lane is at x8. Using bios 0610, anyone have any ideas?

Ok i have tried both cards in both slots individually and they show as x8 in both of the first 2 slots even when set to x16x1 and auto.

This is with the 3 pci-e slots set to x16x16x1 in the bios, i just don't get it
