HI,
Will be going Dual Monitor soon, picking up a Benq G2420HDBL to go with my LG204WT.
I want to be able to use the LG for both Documents (Portrait mode preferred) and as a second screen for 3D modelling software to store all the numeric panels etc to keep a clean main work screen.

Would be good to mount the LG on a monitor arm which will let me swap between portrait and landscape.

Anyone suggest anything to suit?

Thanks for any replies. :)

I picked up a Neo-Flex stand 2 years ago from ****. Great bit of kit! Gone up a bit in price since then though, now around £40.

No competitors!

Update:
Bought the 26Quid monitor arm.

Perfect!

Solid heavy bit of metalwork, allows for portrait/landscape use, adjustable height, swivel, tilt all you'd expect.
Good product.

Only thing Id improve is not being able to adjust "on the fly" the distance from teh back wall.
There are 5 "angles" of the main vertical support that can be set by screwing it together in different ways...once its set you have to dissemble it to change it.

I would have to pay a LOT more money for this (like Ergotron money) so its something I can live with.

I just set it to teh position nearest the back wall and left it there.

A great product, great for those (like me!) on a budget!

My ebay one brought for £25.99 delivered, not bad though mount could be stronger. holding my DEll 24" fine.

gazjam looking forward to pics, I am looking to buy this

Pics as promised...(from crappy cam phone!)

Only problem Ive encountered is that my 20" LG being a TN panel, vertical viewing angles are not that great, and when rotated to portrait mode, this translates to moving your head from side to side makes the contrast/brightness change quite a lot.
However its not a problem on white background documents only on websites...which is the primary reason I wanted to be able to rotate into portrait mode in the first place - so not a drama! :)

Detail of the Desk Clamp:

And the way I normally have my 2nd monitor set up.

Overall, this monitor arm is a cracking buy.
A solid, heavy piece of metalwork it clamps to the desk and holds the monitor rock solid. Only thing that could be better (for me) is not being able to put the monitor closer to the back wall "on the fly"...the distance is defined by the way you bolt the arm together.
There are 5 "angle" settings the arm can lean forward from the desk, and this is the only means of adjustment of distance from the back wall.

No a major problem for me...its just that I had to move my Benq 24" further away from the back wall that I would prefer to match the LG.

9/10

Hope this helps!
