The Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H50 CPU Cooler gives you the power of liquid cooling in a compact, easy-to-install package. You get superior cooling for higher overclocking performance without the complexity of traditional liquid-cooling systems.

Air-based CPU coolers simply aren’t as efficient as water coolers, and can take up too much valuable space. The compact, closed-loop Hydro Series H50 takes your CPU’s temperature to new lows and takes up less room doing it.

- Supports LGA775, 1156, 1366, AM2, AM2+ & AM3
- Pre-filled, closed-loop system is easy to install
- Copper CPU cooling plate for maximum cooling performance
- Integrated pump and reservoir is sealed for zero maintenance and improved leakage protection
- Large 120mm radiator for fast heat dispersion
- High-efficiency, low-noise 120mm fan for drawing cool air across the radiator
- Two-year warranty

Only £63.99 inc VAT.

Is this the same coolit which barely coped with core 2 quad processors, or a new revision?

I'd have guessed performance would be very similar, as the loop is probably radiator limited and they each have pretty much the same size radiator. However Coolit don't have a great track record of making such devices, so I'm placing bets on the Corsair winning this fight.

Good thread title :D

edit: can't see warranty information on the coolit, one year against manufacturing defects?

The one I have found for the coolit wasn't very impressive. Especially if you want to overclock as it was the first cpu cooler to fail there test when running an I7 860 in terms of hitting 100oC.

This is the only review I have found so far so the reviewer may not have installed it correctly.

I am DEFINATELY getting one of those 2 very soon. Just waiting for proper reviews as well. Apparently the first batch of the eco was faulty, but it was designed to beat the corsair

Budget watercooling means you're cutting corners while putting water near your computer.

Noob friendly means if it leaks the user wont know what to do.

Time will prove one of us wrong. Fingers crossed it'll be me.

These only really offer more over air for the money when your case airflow is poor. If you do have poor airflow though, I'd recommend tackling that issue instead of sidestepping it.

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to try one because they seem cool, but I really can't see the point over air cooling in reality.

I always say, if you're going to do something, do it properly. In this case that'd be spending another £100 on proper water if you need it.

Not everyone will agree with me though....especially those who bought one...
