As you may or may not be aware, I own a website dedicated to bringing its readers the latest PC monitor news, articles and reviews. This started as a passionate venture (that sounds dodgy I know) between myself and a few friends from my university days and has developed into a fairly comprehensive interest-based technology website. My colleagues and I have worked tirelessly on the website over the last few months and have attended various meetings in Asia to broaden our research base. Although we have a (fairly limited) fund to purchase new monitors to review in the future, the limited pace of funding has meant that our monitor reviews section has dried up a bit and is thirsty for some new content.
Some of you may have entered the OcUK competition to become a hardware reviewer. It is an opportunity many of the hardware fanatics on these forums would jump at; and be understandably disappointed if they were not amongst the 10 winners. If you would like an opportunity to write a review of your monitor, please contact us (click on my name for a homepage link) or register your interest on this thread. Don’t worry if you feel that writing isn’t your forté – we are interested in the overall content, and will modify as necessary to fit the style and format of our existing reviews.
If you have already written a review (or plan to) for Overclockers (non-competition winners) and would like to give us permission to modify it and include it on our website, please also feel free to do that. We are particularly interested in new monitors (120Hz and/or LED backlit) as well as ‘novel’ panel types such as S-IPS, but are open to any suggestions or offers.
You will be given a small remuneration for your time and effort, but most important I will personally be exceptionally grateful! We have an ever-expanding viewerbase who is hungry for fresh content and we don’t want to see them starved waiting for our next distant monitor review.
