liquid metal destroys h50

yea it is pricey a bit more costly than my Prolimatech Megahalems and 2fans ..but id pay the extra for a 5-10 deg drop in temperature

do you think OCUK will have them on sale anytime soon...these are going to sail out the door

Hmm, liquid metal pumping round your PC?

Seems like an interesting design. Hopefully it wont have a huge footrpint.

That weighs over a kilo without fans think i'd only upgrade from my Venomous X straight to water cooling.

Looks interesting though indeed.

You have to be extracting the urine.

A cooler using push-pull 2000rpm 120mm fans is a couple of degrees colder than a cooler using one 1700rpm fan?

Well gee, I wonder why that is.

£100, weighs in at 1.5KG, requires a 3.5" drive bay slot to hold the power board it needs in addition to the heatsink assembly...

Someone out there will buy it.

To be honest it sounds pretty awful.

Gigantic heatsink, explosion hazard, side fins prevent RAM from being inserted, temperatures not that much of an improvement?

I'd rather stick with the (relatively) "safe" water cooling, which outperforms the liquid metal when done properly (several hundred £ though).

I doubt Liquid Metal will be used for anything other than showing off, and even then NaK is still an incredibly awful alloy to be having around your household, nonetheless inside your PC.

I have to agree with this, these things sounds like a gimmick to me.

I will stick with my custom WC loop over anything like this...

I think the idea has milage, but christ an explosion on contact with air? Once this is picked up by the bigger boys we may well see a lot more development...

Same, thought this was going to be a thread about Liquid metal TIM destroying a H50.

Not impressed by the cooler though, its massive and requires a bay for the power supply - for only a couple of degrees improvement.

For the amount it costs your well on the way to a decent WC loop

After reading the review by RWLABS, was not impressed, l was expecting something to right home about!!!!

Wow look at the price about £100, no dout some one will buy it for the X Factor!!!!!

My H50 will do for now, l think my next step will be custom water set up.
