Excited, flying for the second time!

Dunkeswell, Devon. Meant to be cloudy in Honiton, Devon - heavy rain in Bournemouth, and light showers on the Isle of Wight. Awesome...

The weather is pretty dire today, hope it doesn’t ruin the flight. Looking forward to the video.
 
Well, he's said hang fire for 30-40 minutes..

I'm not sure what I'd prefer - postponing it until we have some nice weather or going ahead and being in cloud for some time...

It's quite a bit of money for a poor flight.
 
You can fly VFR or IFR on a recreational flight, as long as the pilot has the correct ratings. One piece of advice, if you are going to be in cloud make sure you are speaking to a radar unit.
 
Well, it's been cancelled.. :( but we're re-booking for next Sunday. I'll add the photos and videos to this thread next week.

It's about 2 and a half hours of flying time overall apparently.

Taking a 4 seater next weekend so our GF's can come along.
 
seems you have a wise pilot, far too many 'ex' pilots have made the descision fly no matter what.
Hope its Cavok for you next week.
 
My god! I don't understand any of these acronyms that are being thrown about in such a carefree style, but good luck when you get up mate. And yes, I'm still jealous.
 
Can't wait to see the photos. Sounds like fun! Been almost 5 years since I was last up. Did 22 hours while at uni and now that I'm working I can't afford it - doesn't make sense!
