I have just found OCZ are coming out with 4GB ram sticks.

Thats 4GB on one dimm now I can install 16gb of ram on my pc!

it runs at a good latency for ddr3 Cas-9, and runs cool and at a low voltage too 1.65v! Im sure we could overclock it nicely they will be 1333mghz speed. Any idea when overclockers will get these in stock?

Here is the link with all the info, the cheapest i have found this for was £100 for 1 4GB of ram thats allmost £500 for 16! my partner is gonna kill me when i tell her what im getting ^^

Surely these are going to cost an absolute bombshell with current silicone prices?

But it does mean I can run 24GB... although the i7 memory controller would prob explode.

Is it me or have these been a long time coming, I mean we have had 2GB sticks for years now.

They do look good though, hopefully more manufactures follow soon.

Is anyone, except hardcore video editors etc, using enough of their ram to actually want or need 16-24gig ram????

E-Peen. I'm upgrading my machine once I get my SSD. I could see the benefits of 24GB ram if you were doing the right task, but I still see it as hard to use up! These will be nice for servers although its not ECC.

Using 12GB currently i have more than i could ever need. Though it would be nice to changed to just 3 modules and using 12GB rather than populating all six dimms at present. Less vvt voltage needed and better clocks for some.

unlikely unless you had some very memory intensive apps in the background
