I noticed a few people were having some problems with cable management in the Zalman Z7 Plus case. It's an amazing case for the price (£40) and it's a shame that some people don't buy it just due to lack of proper cable management. So here's my guide, I'm sure if you played around long enough you could make it even tidier than I have (especially if you don't have a damn monster IDE cable) but there is no see-thru side on this case so it's all about air flow for me. This guide is written as if you have just bought the case new.

1) Take out the 3.5>2.5 inch converter tray and place it at the very top slot (or leave it out if you're not gonna use it). And remove the main drive tray.

2) At the rear of the case cut two holes in the drive slots, 4th one down, and the bottom one (I know this may seem daunting but really it's very easy, just take it slow) using the pressed edges as a guide. I just used a small multitool grinder.

3) Clear out all the metal filings from inside the case. VERY IMPORTANT.

4) Using a small length of washer jet hose from a car carefully split it length ways using a stanley blade (keep the cut straight) and then press it around the sharp edges of the holes you just made. Pressure will keep it on.

5) You can now put your drive tray back in the space between the holes you just made.

6) Install your dvd drive just above the top hole (3rd slot down). You'll want the space above that to hide cables you don't use.

7) Install your motherboardand PSU.

8) Run all your cables (apart from the 4 pin ATX connector) out the back of the case, down the rear side and through either one of the holes, depending on which components they are going to. Any cables you dont use can be cable tied above the DVD drive to keep them hidden.

8) Once you have plugged all the cables in get to work with those cable ties making use of the space you have around the drives.

I hope this guide is a help to anyone with/thinking of buying this case!
