Project "Coming into the Closet"

Well, i might come up with a better title but that will do for now....
after moving house and expecting another child soon, i couldn't have as much space for my PC stuff as i used to.
so after a trip to Ikea and purchasing some living room storage and then ploughing through the internet looking for case to fit into said storage, i arrive here, starting another build.
originally i fancied the Da Box 100 but they don't seem to be readily available. i thought about a Sugo or Lian li, but there are loads of them around. so i went completely backwards and got a cheap skanky case.....
Bring on the Ecute case!

as you can see, the front is shocking but thats going to change, the reason i chose this case? the 240 rad option at the side, with the possibility of more......

side windows to be changed for AC Ryan mesh, another reason for this case, there will be air holes top and both sides, going to need that being in such an enclosed space.

the first trial fit of the watercooling.the front looks better already

so, time to start squeezing in the parts.....

need to purchase some high flow fans, which are most likely going to be a different color.

i was aiming for a nice tight loop, way better than the first attempt.

white motherboard tray and now, a white rad. wanted to get a clean (ish!) look to it, not sure if i should do the rest of the internals yet.

other options so far are to perhaps remove the 5.1/2" bracket altogether, maybe for a 120 rad? can use the dvd drive externally if needed.
need to make the custom front, which would just have fan controls and power, nothing else.
as ever, suggestions and comments are more than welcome, cheers for looking.

is spraying the fins of your rad a good idea? i would've thought the paint would act as a bit of an insulator?

yeah i thought about that, i mean originally, it was just a test fit and was going to buy a new rad but i gave it a go and did a pretty thin layer on the fins and it seems fine so far.

That's really impressive! Cases seem to be getting bigger and bigger, so it's nice to see the opposite for a change. The size of that makes my 351B look positively spacious.

Did you consider the H50? Might give you more space. And are you going to use an external drive, as there seem to be cables in the 5.25" bay.

had a full size drive in originally which was a little tight so just using a laptop one for now, yeah plan was to go external because i hardly ever use a drive nowadays.
h50 seemed like the easy way out haha, ultimate plan would be to cool the card too, so maybe a h50 for cpu and the 240 for that? i dont know, its work in progress but i like the idea, cheers.
