There's a new JRPG IP on the horizon!! You guys may already know a little about it as it was announced at E3.
But, I caught it on one of the japanese channels i watch and needed to share what i saw about it

Ni no Kuni: Shikkoku no Mad?shi -
Translates Second Land: The Jet-Black Mage
This has a release date of December this year in japan and is coming to Nintendo DS
And then there is
Ni no Kuni: Shiroki Seihai no Jo? -
Translates Second Land: The Queen of White Sacred Ash
This has a release date scheduled in 2011 for PS3

The games look fantastic, And the interview I saw on a Japanese channel had the developer saying there would be international releases. Which I'm really hoping for.
The game looks beautiful and so does the animation, which is to be expected from the likes of Studio Ghibli. Who brought us the likes of Kiki's delivery service and spirited away. And Level 5 who gave us Dark cloud and Dark chronicles, Dragonquest and the professor Layton series!!
What a Team!!

What has me most excited about these games, is they come with a book. And in this book has a lot of riddles, stories and spells! And the game cannot be completed with out the book!! For instance at 1 point in the game you come to a locked door. There's no key in the game.... But in the book, there's a page showing a spell, To unlock doors. You simply take the pen, draw a half circle followed by a diagonal swipe and just like magic! The door unlocks!!!
The book also leads the player to hidden treasures, hidden dungeons and hidden creatures(Imagine) to add to your party!
The game also comes with a feature length movie to introduce you to the game, and the story. And considering it's by Studio Gihbli I can imagine the movie alone would be worth a purchase, nevermind it only being an introduction to this new game!!
I'm looking into possibly importing the game, But need to weigh up some things, So it's not definate. (I'm only learning japanese, And considering the game comes with a big-assed book, I may find the game struggle)
But I'm very excited!
