that is dirt cheap.

The MSI GTX470 price is really nice. However the GTX480 price would be better of it was at £320~

Not saying OcUK is overpricng the GTX480 (it's more expensive at lots other places), but more to do with the fact of the GTX480 itself being too expensive.

£350 is the new price point for GTX 480, NVIDIA won't be dropping the price any more as sales are now very strong on this part.

I think I may change my mind (yet again) and buy the 460.
Still, I wont have the cash for a while meaning not only will the price increase, I will most probably change my mind by that time.

For all the card you get with a 480, 1.5GB of memory is sweet, £350 is a right deal for an excellent brand MSI.

I think £350 on the GTX480 is a decent price, MSI do use good quality components and these are still reference GF100 PCB designs, not cost cutting jobs. The price on the GTX470 is very good, i'm really tempted to get one myself.

I was a bit disappointed with the pricing here when the GTX460's launched, but now you have the Gigabyte and MSI cards and the pricing on Nvidia cards is all looking very competitive with the other stores.

Whats the better cooler on the 460, MSI Cyclone or Gigabyte Windforce?

whats this about voltage tweak on the 470s? very tempted to get one at this price. will i notice much of a performance increase over my 280?

The MSI cards let you adjust the voltage on both the 470 and 480 to make them more overclocking friendly and get better results, just watch the temps though.

Ideal for anyone considering watercooling though.

I think its just because of MSI Afterburner, but Afterburner works with any card, regardless of brand.

My order at "the other place" is now 'pick in progress' so I can't cancel it either. I guess I should have checked these forums more often today...

So you need a reference PCB for waterblocks correct?

And if the card doesn't have 'voltage tweaking', you still can't use afterburner or something to change core volts? i.e. its physically impossible?

Well Voltage Tweak must be something different as Afterburner has an option called Core Voltage which is simply switched on from the settings.
