VW Action 2010

Hi,

I'm back from another eventful and mud packed VW event. It was real test for our vehicles. The last two events at Santa Pod had been bone dry. The new off road track for 2010 was a marked improvement on last year, however we asked the Pod crew to add some water for this one.

We were not let down.

Of course, all this fun and games had a rather hefty impact on my car.

Ripped rear cage off trying to pull someone out the mud.

Smashed my Cibies. Buckled front nudge bar.

My brake lights werent working and I think it was the switch on the master cylinder. It can wait.

Not much airflow going through these.

There was lots of getting stuck.

Mainly because of the water

Which led to a lot of this.

Oh and we managed to do a bit of greenlaning whilst we were there with the local 4x4 club.

I think we did ourselves justice.

Sadly, the car is a little worse for ware after all that. Lots of work to do over the winter.

Oh, and overall I came 4th with a 26 second lap. Not bad considering.

We were being taken to the worst possible places by the 4x4 guys.

The idea wasn't to find an easy lane.
