Radiant Silvergun, the spiritual progenitor of Ikaruga, is coming exclusively to the Xbox 360 next year, Microsoft said at its Tokyo Game Show news conference. The title is being developed by Treasure, the original studio behind both games.

Radiant Silvergun, an arcade favorite brought to the Sega Saturn in 1998, will feature online cooperative play and improved graphical fidelity on the Xbox 360. It was one of five titles coming out next year under exclusive partnerships between Japanese developers and Microsoft.

This one is definately a classic for the "SHUMP" fans out there. Don't be too angry if you are a lucky one to also have this for the Sega Saturn, but hey at least the original version could be kept safely away.

I guess just like Ikaruga and even Sega's Rez, it won't come out for the PSN. But for the moment, lucky for 360 owners.

I just love the music for this game, one of my personal favourites. By Hitoshi Sakimoto, who also does the music for Gradius V, Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy XII, Odin Sphere, Valkyria Chrnoicles, just to name a few.

any idea when this is due? gotta be soon right?

I've still got my copy on the Saturn.
Awesome game. Pity I've lost my import game adaptor, so will definitely get this.

Ikaruga was far more intense, but this got more play time from me.
