Oooh - is this new in the shop, or reduced in price, or have i just missed it?? I'm thinking surely I've looked at the list of PSUs enough times doing spec-me builds to have noticed a £50 625W modular PSU with 4 PCIe connectors?? Why is the 625W sooooo much cheaper than the other models? Anyone know if it's any good?

Cheers.

It's been around for a while, but not at this price.

It was still only £46.99 until yesterday morning. I tried to place order on Sunday and yesterday morning but the damn OcUK paypal was having problem, and by the time I placed my order yesterday afternoon (with the OcUK paypal mirculously fixed) the price already rised by £3

Anyway I received it today...will test it out once my Cooler Master 690 II Advanced (at least I saved £13 with the case bought it at £65 :p) arrive tomorrow for me to finally install the 2nd hand Asus P5Q Deluxe which I bought...fingers-cross that it will works fine.

But still, I think at this price you can't go wrong with the PSU, and according the OcUK staff the Sapphire PSUs are actually Enermax PSUs rebranded:

I have compared the specifications, and they indeed are identical.

Bought it myself, and it is an Enermax manufactured unit, so a good deal all around. Modular cables is just a nice bonus for that price. Hits 88% efficiency when idle and 50%-ish loads. I am looking forward to slipping it into my secondary build!
