Right, got a strange one. My other computer that doesn't do much has LogMeIn installed but displays "enabled but offline". There's lots of people with this problem, but it seems a common fix is to ensure the date and time are right. Mine has always been synced automatically, so this got ruled out. However, when I installed Chrome last night and synced my profile from my other computers, forecastfox extension got installed and that won't search for my location when I enter it in the box...
One of the LMI suggestions to fix was to check about network activity and about which network adapter it's using. Which caused me to think of a problem I had with the computer a while ago - causing me to uninstall and reinstall the connection - as a result it got called "Local Area Connection #2". I renamed it but have just noticed it's down in the summary panel as using "NVIDIA nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet #2".
Sooo, could this be causing a problem? How can I investigate where programs think the default path out is? Everything else seems to work fine, no Windows firewall turned on.
