Help please. UK Truck Simulator lagging,.

Am going to upgrade my graphics card, PSU and monitor anyway, but there is no reason why this game should lag.

What is wrong?

It plays and the graphics are good, but it is just jumpy and not smooth. When driving it lags and just doen't run smoothly.

Any ideas?

Running the game at 70HZ - 1024 x 768. I definitely need a new monitor. Could this be the reason?

turn the settings down? gfx card is hardly the best for gaming even on a small screen

What is GFX?

I don't know that much about these things.

And what setting in particular do I turn down for lag?

gfx = graphics card lol

turn the quality settings down turn things like the lighting and shadows down or off

It sucks.

The game specs are:

Recommended: Dual or Quad Core Processor with 2.2GHZ, 2GB RAM. Graphics card 512MB (GeForce 6 or ATI Radeon 9800_

So there is no reason why I should have any problems with this game, is there?

I will try turning the setting down now.

I imagine the graphics card would be fine for UK Truck Simulator at 1024x768. Might just be a badly programmed game. Have you updated your drivers or downloaded a patch for the game.

My drivers are updated to the latest and it is a new game. Haven't downloaded a patch and it isn't easy to do so when I have a dial up connection.

It is very annoying. Cost me £16.00 this game and now I can't enjoy it.

I have actually played the game thanks.

It sucks as it is poorly coded or programmed or whatever you want to call it. My rig was lagging on it and it should be able to run it with my energy saving mode on.

So is there anything I can do except turn the graphics down?

It only came out this year too.

You graphics card looks like the weak point in your system so turn the graphics down. Or buy a new card which will not guarantee the graphics will look better. Like I said, it looked crap on my rig when it should have been smooth.
