This is excellent memory, but do remember Corsair XMS3, Vengeance and G.Skill Value are all fine with Sandybridge and are better value for money, but for those who wanted another option, well we now have it.

Nice one Gibbo. I like the look of the 4Gb PC3-12800C9 kit. Will you have a play around with these when they arrive?

The 1600MHz CAS6 stuff was very tempting, and was the kit I was looking for until I decided that 8GB was the way to go for a new system. Have ordered the 8GB set.

I also decided recently to stop trying to chase high frequencies and low latencies, so I'm happy to have eventually found some sandy bridge memory that's officially 1.5v rated. Still, would have liked to have seen the 8GB 8-8-8-24 Ripjawsx set available.....never mind.

I was almost set on picking up the Corsair Vengeance 1.5v kit were it not for the stupidly sized heatspreader causing havoc with heatsink choice.

First of all - I'd like to say that OCUK is fantastic. I've been reading the forums for quite some time but have just registered to post.

I'm putting together a new, SB, rig. (upgrading from an E6600, gtx220)

After weeks of research, I've finally settled on some parts:
ASUS P8P67-PRO
i7-2600K
Noctua-DH14
Inno3D 570GTX
Thermaltake Toughpower XT 675W
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB WD1002FAEX
Thermaltake DF-85

The system is primarily for work, gaming and, of course, brag rights. Also, for the first time I'm going to start playing around with overclocking!

As for RAM, I was waiting to hear about these RipJawX's... I'm particularly interested in the 8GB kit (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL). I almost placed an order on OCUK for them but then noticed that the G.Skill website only lists the P8P67 Deluxe under the QML http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=355

My question is, will this RAM work and, if so, will it be much better than the regular, non-X, RipJaws? (eg. F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL )

I don't know anything about RAM and I'm not even that set on RipJaws, its just that I recall seeing benchmarks in which it performed well - especially in combination with the ASUS P8P67 boards.

Any suggestions and/or comments on my system and RAM would be much appreciated.

It SHOULD work and I dont want to have to worry about compatibility.

Are the G-Skill ripjaws X 1600 C8 2x4gb 1.5v sets going to be available?
You are doing the 1600 C9 2x4gb 1.5v but the C8 1.5v sets are slightly better and would be the ones I would buy. Theres a few 1600 C9 2x4gb sets about but none at C8 as far as I've seen.
Also G-skill do the ECO at 1600 C8 2x4gb 1.35v sets and they are great for sandy bridge, theres another place doing these but it would be good if you could get some in.
