Well, a group of guys saw a competition and saw they had a chance to Remake\Demake this classic.

It holds all the true style of homeworld whilst having a 2D perspective.

Artifact's House Globe

Screenshots are provided in the link. It's a free download so put your wallets away chaps.

(I did do a search and nothing came up)

It's 1v1 MP so be the host or client, I will create a game in a sec. There is also SP.

What competition and did they get Sierras permission?

Also since the source code was released why didnt they use that if they had permission to use other assets i.e the ships and stuff?

Portal sound ripped, did they get permission from valve?

Oh and it looks crap in 2d. I love homeworld 1 cata and 2 and this is a total rip off of a game that is supose to be like homeworld. :(

Acording to the rules of the comp no images, sounds from official games so its broke rules already for comp with portal voice and images of the ships from homeworld and thats not counting the real legalities i.e copyright theft.

Thanks for at least trying to let us know about a new homeworld or homeworld type of game but id stay well clear of that game due to legal issues. Shame homeworld 3 aint coming out anytime soon but at least relic have the ip back from sierra to be able to make number 3 if thq allowed them to.

No worries man, I never made the game so no hard feelings.

Funnily enough they actually have one of their own games on Steam, so Valve must be aware of some sort?
