Just got my self a 2600K and have began to OC it. I am currently using a Corsair H70 and to be honest I haven't been too impressed with it. What I was wondering is, what to you guys recommend as a replacement?

This thread will help you:

In brief though the Thermalright Silver Arrow and Noctua NH-D14 are considered the best air coolers and will comfortably beat an H70 while probably being quieter too.

Check your ram clearance though as tall heat spreaders can get in the way. If so the Thermalright Archon is new and looks as if it will beat the above 2 but it is 170mm tall will need a wide case.

This thread is making me itchy fingered for the D14 or Silver Arrow (none in stock anywhere) Currently got H70 (push/pull vipers) ambient room temp is 25c (hate being cold) & via coretemp idle my temps are 47/44/44/46.

How much lower would the temps be with either the D14 or the Silver Arrow?

Take a look at the thermalright archon possibly the top dog but not enough reviews in yet.

Can't go wrong with a D14 as long as you've got the clearance for it. Silver Arrow *just* edges it on temps, but is apparently trickier to fit.

That new Archon looks very promising.

Sorry to hijack slightly but wondering i know a lot people use apache fans on H70s would the Silverstone Penatrator fans be any good on a H70 or a rad in general?

Like most things made by Coolermaster the V10 is crap, huge, power hungry (its a trec after all) and despite its peliter its still gets beat by cheaper standard air coolers.

I would say your H70 isn't doing a bad job your delta isn't that bad to be honest, still your going to need D14, sliver arrow or a Titan thingy to get better results.
