Whoops I think I made a booboo.

Took delivery today of a xfx 5870 from overclockers, the plan was to xfire it with my existing Sapphire 5870..... opened my case to install it and discovered my PSU was a Corsair GS600 ( was sure it was a more powerfull 1?!)

So my question to you guys is... do I go ahead and hook up the second card? Or now look at dropping more cash on another PSU?

I've been reading around and think it will all be too much.

Rest of spec is in my sig. I do also have a Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB hd in there.

Feel like a right div. :(

Personally, I wouldn't risk it. That PSU can only supply a maximum of 576W on the 12V rail, with a 4GHz hex core and two 5870s I imagine it will get pretty close to this level of power draw.

As a replacement, I would suggest this PSU. Its a high quality bit of kit (review here) and can provide loads of power (even enough for a third 5870).

thanks for the replies all.

What wold the cable management be like on this? My cable management skills are poor so I was leaning towards trying to find a modular psu to help me out?
