OK guys, apologies for yet another thread. I cannot make my mind up between the two. Basically it boils down to excellent input and motion speed, but poor blacks with the LG 32LD450, or good blacks but slightly more motion blur with the Samsung LE32C530.

Please help me decide :D

I realise this is a TV thread, but it is going to be primarily used for PC gaming use, hence why it's in this forum.

Thanks all!

I've not tried either but from what I read the LG is the better monitor, the Samsung the better TV. Both have near 0 input lag, but the Samsung does show some ghosting. Bit of a lottery on which panel the LG has, but if you can get access to the box then as long as the model number has a 'W' it's likely to be an IPS panel.

I'm hoping someone will be able to tell me the differences between the LD450 and LD490 when used as a monitor. The 490 has an ethernet port and Freeview HD so might be worth the extra £40ish.

The second i hear ghosting i'd lay off it straight away

I've got the 32LD550 been using to watch movies from my Fileserver and console gaming I've never noticed ghosting, the amount of colour tweaking is awesome on LG. Definitely a good purchase if you decide to get one can't compare it to Samsung though since I don't have one.

Thanks mate. The only thing holding me back are the black levels. I'm hoping they aren't as bad as the reviews make them out to be.

The Samsung LE32C530 is by far the better TV. And you can pick it up for an absolute bargain as well.

Hi there,

How do you come to the conclusion from the review that the Samsung is a much better TV than the LG? The Samsung is without doubt a very good telly for the price, but so is the LG - just in different areas (LG handles motion better and the samsung has better blacks).

Also I should point out that the OP went for the LG in the end and seemed pleased with it once he got it set up properly.

Ive had teh LG 32LD450 for over a year now and think it is a great TV. When I was checking reviews out it was by far the best value for money at the time.
