Did I handle this situation well?? (in Worcester btw :P )

Ok...
So, me and my girlfriend have been stalked by a roughly 60 year old woman in the last few days in worcester...

We are college age, and we are not at all into public affection or anything (this will make sense in a minute)

We were sitting on a bench, my arm around her waist i think, and this woman came up to us... and aggressively started saying "go home" repeatedly, saying we were terribly rude, especially in a public place, which we really didnt get, because we werent even doing anything!! Anyway, she went on about how we should be "ashamed" of ourselves... saying "I know who you are, and im going to get you into a lot of trouble".

Anyway, my girlfriend got pretty upset about this...

Next day she turns up again (surprise surprise?!?!) saying the same sort of things, again, we were just sitting next to each other, with my arm around her.... She was aggressive, and i said that i felt she was treating us with very little respect, very calmly and collected...

she then called someone (maybe her lawyer or something) saying that she was being "harrassed by young people" which seems ridiculous considering we barely said anything to her and we walked off within 1 minute!! My girlfriend even said sorry if we offended her!!

What would you have done??



(ps.. it was in worcester, as I have realised there are so many worcester folk around!!!)
 
I would've probably told her to mind her own business, have you got any proof that shes contacted a legal aid?

EDIT: Its probably all the rain water down there ;) /troll
 
I would have told her to leave me alone otherwise I will contact the police. Incidentally, it may be worth storing the local stations number in your mobile for the next time she tries it on.
 
Sounds fair enough to me.

Next time, offer to put your arm around her, maybe she's just jealous and lonely :(
 
Sounds like she's a bit of a loony. Maybe give the police station a call and say there's some crazy woman hassling people in the park?
 
Oh yer... and she started going on about how "muslims would be really offended by that".... I was just thinking... offended by what!?!?

I dont think she was even muslim, based on her clothes, and the way she was talking
