I'm coming to the end of my contract so I've been out of the loop for about 18 months. Can you guys in the know tell me what Android phones I should be looking into these days?

ATM:
Samsung Galaxy S2
HTC Sensation

Both cracking phones, see if u can get to play with them in a phone shop, as it will be personal choice to which you prefer.

Coming Soon:
Nexus 3 (most likely January)

I currently have a HTC HD2 and I've played with Android ROMs with sense on it. I also currently have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7". I'm not sure which I prefer really as I ended up using Launcher Pro. Thinking about it, I didn't really like Sense so I guess I'm looking at the Galaxy or the Nexus :)

I have a HD2 myself, for the life of me i can't seem to load any Android roms to it, sucky locked t-mobile thing lol, either that or im a numpty.

My contract is up in December, so i'll be just like you come then, deciding which to go for, for me personally the S2 looks the business, and is winning the race in my head (for me).

I think im gonna wait for the Nexus 3 to launch myself before i make the jump, but then my upgrade time is close to that though, where as urs is much sooner.

Now galaxy s2
Next xperia duo
Few months id say the nexus 3/prime

With it being a dual-core and all, doesn't it rinse out the battery?

No. My SGS2's battery life is better than my old HTC Desire's. An app coded badly like 'drag race' however max's out both cores and drains the battery stupidly fast.

Having tried out all of the new toys, I really don't think the iPhone can be beaten for the majority of people.

Is it an iPhone 4? I don't like the older ones, they're a bit naff.

Having played with both i'd have the SGS2 over the Sensation but they're both good phones. Best to go to a phone shop and have an extended play.

The only thing I use every so often on the iPhone4 that I can't on the original one is facetime I think. Sure the screen is better and the camera is better and it is faster and everything but meh, the OS is pretty much the same.

Anyhow, I don't need another iPhone 4.
