Yes the thread title is not a mistake, were nearly £200 cheaper than our competitors on this truly fantastic piece of kit. Whats the catch? Well no catch as such, this batch just come with 1yr warranty instead of the usual 3yr, but the saving is substancial.

We don't expect stocks to last long and DELL are not giving us any ETA for more at this price, I am offering them at this price until next Friday at which point the price shall increase by approximately £50 which shall still be over £100 cheaper than competitors. :)

Are these refurbs screens? As to explain they only giving a 1 yr warranty?

Also that's a damn damn good price for a dell 27" IPS beauty.

dell 2707wfp = 1900X1200
dell 2709w = 1920x1200
dell U2711 = 2560x1440

that's why it costs more. plus it is an infinitely superior panel in every way.
image quality, panel technology, power consumption, heat output, stand and bezel construction, back light technology to name but a few.
the biggest point for me is the quality of the componentry used in the monitors. the control boards were the only real reported issue with previous lines of high end dells and they have all been improved loads. over the past couple of years.

Ahhh man, this makes the price for the U3011 that I want even more excessive. If the 27" was 16:10 I'd bite your hand off, but the 16:9 ratio just doesn't add enough real estate over the 2407 that I have at the moment. Any chance of some reduced price U3011? ;) And not just the "This week only" reduced price :D

So thier brand new and sealed i presume? you have not answered the question if they are refurbs or not.Also who decides about dead pixels if you have no dell warranty? how many dead pixels will OCUK consider as faulty? Sounds a bit fishy.

Im tempted but i want to know what my £500 gets me.Sorry if this post sounded a bit rude but im still angry about past customer service and so this offer has raised a few red flags for me.

I'm in the market for a new monitor and have been looking at the 27" Hazro's, the Dell U2711 and some 24" monitors too. If I was to choose a Dell U2711, it wouldn't be this one. I'd rather have the full 3 year guarantee.
