Hello, posting my First build log here. The build is near completion, i just started being active on here and was requested to share the log so here we are. Im copy pasting stuff from my own forum so there will be some sentences that would seem odd....like "yesterday the board arrived"...whereas in real it arrived 3-4 months back:p Apologies for this

Last build i did wasnt up to mark and had a lot of problems in it. So decided on scrapping it and getting on with a whole new build with much better and drool worthy specs.

Heres a little shot of my last build.

Now onto new stuff. Lets list down the specs first

Motherboard: EVGA SR-2
CPU: Intel Xeon E6545 x2
Ram: 24GB G.Skill Ripjaws 1600Mhz CL9
HDD: 3x OCZ Vertex 2 240GB SSD's + 1TB WD Caviar Black for backup
GPU: Sparkle GTX 480 Tri SLi (already have these and dont wanna jump to 5 series. Will upgrade to 6 series when it launches)
PSU: Thermaltake ToughPower 1500W
Casing: Little Devil V8 Inverted HPTX
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Watercooling Specs: Most of the stuff i already own from my previous builds, so just gonna list down stuff that i need to order.

2 x EK HF CPU Blocks
1 x XSPC RX 480 Radiator
3 x XSPC RX 360 Radiator
DD tubing
Feser One Orange Coolant
Bitspower Compression Fittings (sponsored by Bitspower)

Lets start with a couple of pics that i took of the hardware that has arrived.

A couple of days ago, my motherboard and processors arrived.

Hooked this up quickly on air cooling to see if the board was DOA or not and if everything was running fine out of the box. Was glad to see that it did:D

installed the board for a quick overview on how to route the tubing and cables. I must say even after installing the board there is plenty of space present.

Here is a different arrangement i tried today. My obsession with installing the 400 Res in the case is making me try out different ways to make it possible. What do you guys think?

just out of curiosity, do you think you could squeeze a raid card in there or is there not enough room?

as much as i would love to...i cant :(. the sound card takes up the last pci-e slot unfortunately.

Something arrived some time back, just didnt have the time to take it out of the box and take pics of.

A very interesting update coming for you guys in a bit

ok heres the update that i was talking about. This thing defines the whole build in my opinion. For me this is one of the best feature of the build

Since the top 480 rad was shifted in the lower compartment of the casing, that space was left empty and was looking very odd. I couldve filled it up with fans but then thats not what this build is all about. Came up with an idea to put up iamextreme logo on top. A week and a half later, a friend of mine helped me bring my idea to life and sends me this

I am literally in love with what he has created. So here we go.

leeved sata cables yesterday and installed them on the board to see how they look. Attached them with zip ties temporarily so they can take this shape. All four sata cables will be connected to the ssd hotswap drive in the 5.25 bay area.

ok after 2 or maybe 3 weeks...small update again....been extremely lazy and din order cables that werent working before...so i ordered those last week and they should be due in any day now. Also i messed up the old 24 pin connector so i got a new one, but then i ran out of sleeves and heatshrink so it delayed it even more. Anyways this is what ive done today.

I re arranged the colours...instead of going orange grey black i thought these would look better.

well so there we have it...thats the current situation of the build. I ordered some extensions from performance pcs and they sent the wrong cables...package took a month to arrive so now i gotta wait again for the right cables to come. Thanks for watching and i apologize for the extremely long post.

WOW - that is some incredible build - i like how you have designed your own logo for it and made that light-box thing :D

Ww that is awesome. Why have you chosen not to liquid cool the motherboard though?

I am looking forward to seeing this one completed!
