I'd pass. I cam across similar websites when looking for a new 3-in-1 jacket and the sites all came back to a Chinese owner. The discounts are always too good to be true too.

Fakes.

Canada Goose are very much premium jackets - they are awesome and wearing one is like wearing a duvet. They are too hot to wear in anything above about 5 degrees C.

Would suggest to the mods that the link should be removed for obvious counterfeit goods.

Ahhh, the classic case of buy cheap buy twice...

I bought some Pazzo brake levers for my bike yesterday, costing £140, now, on a Ducati forum I visit, there is a long thread regarding chinese replicas at less than half the price.

It was apparent as most who bought the replicas were simply not happy with the fitting as they would have lots of slack on the pivot joints, not fit right and made from cheap metals...

Where as 1 out of 10 invested in proper genuine Pazzo levers from official resellers (like my self) and they were over the moon with such a high quality product.

When you are buying something that is half decent and expensive, you want to go through official resellers... Unless you have no care where the item came from and it's condition.

Looks very similar as far as the amateurish layout goes, to a lot of the fake North Face websites plastered all over the web.

Like the others said, I'd pass on it. That said, some of the North Face fake stuff is actually pretty decent quality!!. Had a mate who worked in brand protection for a while and he used to purchase samples from all over the place. Many of which were very, very good copies. Obviously some were absolute rubbish but I was quite surprised at the "almost" genuine look and feel that the good ones had.

Which would be fine if you were taking a punt on a fake Ralph Lauren polo shirt at £5, where there's not much to it. It might not wear as well, be as well fitted or feel nice, but principally, it's exactly the same as every other shirt. With a jacket, there's the waterproofing, insulation, windproofing etc etc which I'd be much more concerned about. I get what you're coming from though, just because it's a fake, doesn't mean it's immediately rubbish; these companies probably outsource to similar factories with similarly skilled workers and use similar materials. Not worth the risk to me with something like this though.

They do indeed. The memorable jacket I mentioned ( it was a McMurdo parka ) was of such quality and accuracy that when we laid it down next to a genuine one it was almost impossible to tell the difference. There was a very, very slight difference in texture but that was it.

I get what you are saying regarding the shirt and personally if I was buying a jacket for full on outdoor use I'd want it to be genuine and completely up to the job in all aspects you mention as far as water and windproofing go. But a lot of these garments are purchased by people purely as fashion items. These folk don't care two hoots about whether they get wet or cold or not whilst wearing their spanky new jacket out down the pub on a Friday night. All they really care about is the price they have to pay. :p

I paid £150 for a McMurdo from ebay. It was fake as hell and took me 2 months to get my money back. I'm just going to go in store and get a McMurdo instead of a £500 Canada goose

The McMurdo is a nice coat but I did find a Canada Goose that was button up that looked smarter (for work) whilst being very warm and waterproof still

Exactly m8, like I said, there's some absolute rubbish out there and some very, very accurate copies. Unfortunately it sounds like you got dumped on with one of the crap ones. :(
