Well, might be a bit early for some but this is the time of year I start to look forward to and start to monitor snow.

Maybe a little early right now down low but like to keep an eye on the weather as Europe has been not great, shall we say for the last couple of years really.

I've only got 2 holidays planned out at the moment but just moved to Basel for work so am planning on making the most of being here and doing weekends up in the mountains as well. Score.

I'm due back in London in December and snow and rock is going to get hit for a few things on my list.

New skis and bindings this year. Salomon Twenty Twelve's with some Salomon STH 12 Oversized bindings.

Also going to get a GoProHD cam as I know a few mates that have them and they look like a great piece of kit.

Who else is booked out? New kit?

Nothing booked yet, but I think I'm going out to Avoriaz again for a weeks skiing.

Had a little bit of snow there a week or so ago, all the roofs on the webcam are covered slightly :p

Family went to the one at earls court in London. Got a few bits. I bought the gf some white salomon leather mits for 80quid without being there. Great!

My jackets arrived back home, as has the GoPro HD camera. Just need to order bindings, skis and pants now. Decided to change to the STH16s though, higher DIN ratings!

Just booked Val torens, been wanting to go there for a few years after doing Courcheval and Meribel to the death!

Now just to decide what board im going to buy, far too much choice!

:( Jealous!
Val Thorens is my favourite place in the whole world :)

QuickLink have you skied the 2012's yet? I've been looking at them myself so it would be good to know what they're like. How well do they hold up on hard snow? I've seen mixed reports about how all-mountain they are.

Hopefully going for 3 weeks this season, not sure when or where yet though though it's looking like Verbier/Meribel/Val D'Isere. :)

Nah, they should arrive wednesday! All being well. Wont get a chance to ski them until new year though.

I've got some K2 public enemies as well, which I really like but these were supposed to be a bit more all mountain. Apparently. Was talking to Bobby Browne and Cody Townsend on Twitter and they said they were great all rounders, so we'll see.

got a couple of trips planned this/next year, french alps and Mayrhofen. I'm really interested in getting a GoPro Hero2, any suggestions to where I can get my hands on one for the best price?

I believe they're not out yet? The Go Pro HD is and is waiting for me at home but I would like a 2 as well. Released in US I think, but not as far as I know here yet. I iwll do some checking...

I got the motorsport version of the 1, because it was cheaper than the naked version?! Then just bought the mounts I wanted. Which I would have to do anyway.

I will keep an eye on amazon tbh

Only thing I'm likely to buy this season is the WiFi Back which they are supposed to be bringing out for the GoPro sometime soonish.

It will allow you to control and view the GoPro from a smartphone.

I've still not used my GoPro yet as much as I'd have liked, but the one thing that I have found is that it is annoying that you don't know how it looks until you get it back to your computer. It's sometimes that you discover a slight change in angle would have been better.
