XSPC RS360 is enough for a 2600k + 3 x HD6950's

That's right ladies an XSPC RS 360 radiator with 3 1000RPM bitfenix spectra fans is plenty of cooling power for a intel Core i7 2600K + 3 x HD6950's (unlocked shaders).

Basically I'm having to replace my phoyba G changer 480 V1.2 so I'm just using an XSPC RS (not the thicker RX version) 360, a Laing DDC 10W 350 pump, Heatkiller 69x0 waterblocks and a EK Supreme HF waterblock

Everything at stock:

Prime95 for 10 mintues = 44C (hottest core)

Unigine Heaven 2.5, CPU = 45C GPU1= 40C GPU2 = 39C GPU3 = 43C

I'm just shocked that a very thin 360 rad with low RPM fans are able to cool this setup.

May try some overclocking in a bit

One of the CPU cores peaked at 46C this time, last time was on a cold boot

@EllisDJ, my RAM can do 6-8-6-18 1T @ 1.65V which is fairly normal
 
I didnt know that - I am sure thats the same ram as me

I am running cas 8 @ 1.5v and read in lots of places dont exceed 1.5 v with sandy?

Yeah I've seen a few reviews state a recommended RAM voltage of 1.5V, I've not come across any issues with running 1.65V

from the CPU sections SB voltages thread "We've also discussed with Asus and MSI regarding voltages for memory and they also confirm in their testing 1.65v caused no issues with reliability."

So I've stuck with it. :)
 
ive ran mine at 1.65 for months no issue

answer to op i would add another 120 or 240 to that.

ive got a 2600k and gtx480 sli and thats on a 360 and 120 and temps are good.

so i would say at least a 120 as well

Interesting how a 10w pump and a single 360 RAD with slow RPM fans can handle a 2600k and 3 x 6950s(Unlocked)!

I was worried about my MCP355 with a 480(High FPI) RAD & 240 RAD!

I am more interested in how you did your back plates for the 6950s?
 
@koooowweeee (?) I'm just waiting on my replacement G changer 480 to go with the RS 360.

I just need a working PC whilst I wait so thought I'd check out the temps (expecting them to be awful) and was pleasantly surprised.

@ Avathar77 .. Yeah I was surprised too!

I'm going to do some overclocking and see if thats were the 480 rad was working its magic.


My back plates were sanded down ( one had to be dremeled! ) primed, sanded, primed sanded, painted, sanded, painted, sanded.... ETC
Took awhile but I like the look better than the original black ones.

Very easy to do if you have the time.
 
That's some good temps, but I'm not surprised a 360 can dissipate roughly 675watts of heat. What temps do you get if you run something like bf3? I'm curious!
 
Yeah, the delta T might be a bit high, but nonetheless it won't be enormous as a 360 rad can cope with roughly 675 watts, so it's still good!
