Death penalty is too good for people like that, they should be in a bare concrete room for the rest of their life.

I for one think it's just as bad to fight fire with fire, it clearly does not put a dent in a crime statistics internationally. Some people cannot be rehabilitated, but how do you know if you don't try?
Put them behind bars, treat them if they are mentally ill. If they do rehabilitate then they should be considered to be let out.

On an unrelated note, I'm starting to get a bit tired of these depressing news links in GD. I avoid buying newspapers because I don't want to see depressing headlines, but I can't unsee the GD ones (damn you eyes!). If everyone else likes them then fair enough.

im all for the dealth penalty in the right situations.

putting someone in a concrete cell for the rest of their lives is not the answer
 
That's sick but I don't think they deserve the death penalty, that's just too easy an escape for them, they deserve to be put in prisons to "live" their miserable lives. The things that will get done to them, by the other inmates, for what they have done, will be worse than death a 1000 times over (I would hope at least).
 
Well if the death penalty is not right...

They deserve to be brutally tortured until they die, see how those ****s like it.
 
Outsource all our prisons & prisoners to Thailand and let the tax payers employ Thai Prison Guards, it will benefit both partys.

Lots of things are outsourced these days, so why not prisoners and save our goverment a fortune.

Plus the Prisoners will be living in a world of **** instead of holiday camps.

I'll be totally all for LIFE prison sentences then instead of the death penalty.

That is not how it works though, Dimple will confirm this as this is what we heard from him. Playstations/consoles are used as rewards for good behaviour and to keep them in line.
I feel that Prisoners should concentrate much more on rehabilitating rather than just protecting, they should be taught a skill or a trade, so that when they go back to the outside world their source of income is not the reason they came in the first place.

Well said, although I think public protection is the main reason for jail, but it needs far more rehabilitation than we currently have. If public didn't need protecting. Then you have to question why they are in jail and not doing comunity service and rehabilitation.

And of course there are people that are unlikely to be rehabilitated and will need to spend their life in jail.
