closing my bank down

I want to close my lloyds account down.

I set up a baclays account today.

Only reason I have changed is because I want a fresh new start.

Mum paid off all my overdraft today.

They need a reason for me closing, shall I just say that? Or can you think of anything else?

You could say you were not happy with any overdraft fees you may have been charged?

You could also say you were not happy with the interest rate they offer for any savings you may have with them?

If you really want it closing just tell them you have a new account elsewhere. If they ask more questions, just tell them to mind their own business.

Why do you think they'll ask for a reason?

Just write letter stating that you wish for the account to be closed.

Anyway, how is moving banks a fresh start exactly and why do you need a fresh start you must only be about 16 or something?

edit - Mummys boy. I have a mate who used to be a proper mummys boy, wouldn't even go into a shop to buy something unless he had to.
