There are a bunch of LEDs on the board, most are green but the last 4 are red, and I have no signal via DL-DVI, and no cables to try the other ports. The manual is also really basic and doesn't explain the LED meanings. There is a switch on the board which I have tried in all 3 positions with no difference.

Had to switch back to my old card to post this and try and search for info.

EDIT:

Just found this on the MSI forum:

its normal, its APS feature,
dynamic adjust phases[14 (for gpu) monitored from total 18(remaining are: 3 for memory + 1 for PLL)] depend of load to save power
4 burning reds means that currently VGA is in full load [Phases: 11,12,13,14 light in red and 1-10 light in green]

Ok, that explains the red LEDs, but not the no signal.

I had the 4 red LED on mine. Glad it wasn't just mine although i've just sent mine back due to some other issue. The card is a corker tho....hopefully get a replacement soon.

Have you got your screen working now?

It's a Coolermaster 850w. It's been running 3 HDDs, 1 BDROM, 6 fans and 2x4890 for the last couple of years.

All the info I'm finding suggests the lights are normal, plus I'm getting a signal from the SL-DVI.

I can confirm i also get 4 red LEDs on when booting up. Im using the most top of the DVI ports without a problem.

i have the same no signal problem =/ cannot work out the problem for the life of me, its a complete brand new build

pc turns on then appears to turn off again for a few seconds then runs no problem, except i have no display at all

There is a small bios switch on the side of the card with silence and performance on it, the card should come with the switch set to silence (the very left click), but if the card has the switch set to performance (the very right click) the card will not output anything to the monitor, its a mistake by MIS with these card.

But if you put the switch to the middle click inbetween silence and performance it will post and in performance mode.

The LED's are normal as you hgave found out.

It may be obviouse and you may already know this but it hasent been mentioned and sounds exactly liek the problem so just letting you know
