Looks impressive but I'll be honest and admit I've no idea if it's merely a gimmick or a real step forward for gamers.

ASUS also showed us a similar benchmark in their Z77 technical seminar. Things seem to have changed with Lucid and I think this time around it could be a turning point!
 
There doesn't seem a huge number of new features with Z77/Ivy but this looks awesome and a must have mobo feature.
 
Will be doing a feature article on this as soon as Z77 is here :) I am interested to see how it compares with other games and hardware
 
looks impressive but something isn't right, it ran about 200 just using the 7970 but over 400 with the lucid mode, not sure this this is really doubling the frame output or whether it's actually skipping a frame in between, would really like to know how this works because if it really is working as they say it is this is a game-changer.
 
From that blog it sounds similiar to Intel's Hyperthreading... which thinking about it, should help a lot with the framerates :eek:! Almost double the performance on the same card? Yes please! Well, need to see more benchmarks on it first...
